Beneath a glacier somewhere on the west coast of Iceland is an old abandoned house. It is here in this house where a young girl occasionally appears. Known as Eyja, one hundred years ago this spirit witnessed a terrible incident that would leave her isolated amid the tides forever after.
Dögg Mósesdóttir, born in 1979, gratuated from the directing department of C.e.c.c. film school in Barcelona, Spain in 2005. Her short films have been shown in a wide selection of international film festivals. Her graduating film “Eyja” won The 2008 SGAE Nova Autoria Award for best direction-production and original music at The Sitges international fantastic film festival. Dögg is the director and founder of The Northern Wave International Short Film Festival and the president of Women in Film and Television in Iceland. Dögg is currently working as an independent filmmaker and editor.
